Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Contract Step into a vital patient care role, utilizing your expertise in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Pre-Op nursing. This opportunity is perfect for a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for perioperative care and the confidence to support patients before and after surgery.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current and unrestricted RN license required Proven experience in a PACU or Pre-Op setting Proficient in patient assessment, IV insertion, airway management, and medication administration Strong critical thinking and rapid response skills Ability to educate and support patients and families during the perioperative process Flexibility and adaptability within fast-paced environments BLS and ACLS certifications required
Schedule:

Core Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patients' recovery from anesthesia, ensuring stability and comfort Manage pre-op preparation, including patient education, assessments, and coordination with surgical teams Deliver skilled interventions such as pain management, monitoring vital signs, and recognizing signs of complications Communicate clearly with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff regarding patient condition and needs Document care accurately and thoroughly in compliance with facility policies Provide compassionate support to patients and families, addressing questions and concerns in a professional manner
