Job Description

Overview Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel assignment in a short-term acute care setting located in Great Falls, MT. The role starts 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks, with 36 guaranteed hours per week on Day shift. Weekly pay ranges from $1,943 to $2,034.

Short-term acute care hospital travel assignment Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care for hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on the Progressive Care Unit, with potential cross-coverage on the Medical-Surgical inpatient unit, from admission to discharge. Monitor and manage patients with central lines, chest tubes, arterial lines, noninvasive and invasive ventilation, complex IV pumps, and telemetry with EKG interpretation. Administer and titrate IV medications and vasoactive infusions (e.g., heparin, diltiazem, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, dopamine) and operate multiple IV pumps. Perform ongoing patient assessments, recognize early signs of deterioration, coordinate with the care team, and implement established policies and procedures with limited supervision. Collaborate with providers, charge nurses, and other disciplines; participate in discharge planning and patient-family education; provide guidance to RN, LPN, CNA, and support staff as needed. Serve as a clinical resource and offer precepting support to less experienced staff; contribute to unit operations and staffing coverage as required. Requirements Current Montana RN license BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required or obtained within 6 months of hire EPNC and TNCC certifications preferred Pediatric experience preferred Post-heart catheterization experience preferred Ability to operate advanced medical equipment (A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes), manage patients requiring ventilation support, and perform basic cardiac telemetry/EKG interpretation Ability to work in a high-acuity PCU environment and participate in inpatient care from admission through discharge Find more opportunities If you'd like to explore other RN openings, view additional opportunities from Healthforce Healthcare LLC at https://healthforce.applytojob.
