1.0 FTE, 10‑hour shifts, variable call, days. Job Summary The OR Registered Nurse demonstrates full competency in the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver holistic, family‑centered perioperative care. The RN oversees and directs the care of surgical patients in all specialties, serving as the primary nurse responsible for coordinating interdisciplinary care throughout the surgical experience. This role maintains accountability for care delivered by assistive personnel, ensures adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Knowledge/Experience/Education Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing. Staff RN readiness — Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, demonstrating the ability to assume full responsibility for perioperative nursing care. Perioperative practice — Knowledge of surgical workflows, sterile technique, and intraoperative patient safety. Clinical decision‑making — Ability to assess patient needs, anticipate complications, and respond appropriately in a fast‑paced OR environment.
