Job Description

Medical Oncologist (Part Time) opening
Location Lewistown, MontanaOverview:
Join our respected medical team to provide exceptional oncology care on a part time basis. Ideal for practitioners looking for work life balance in a welcoming, rural setting, this role supports comprehensive cancer care within a community-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert evaluation, diagnosis, and management of adult oncology patients, covering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care.

Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate multidisciplinary care (e.g., radiation, surgical oncology, palliative services).Engage in patient counseling, including treatment options, side effect management, and end-of-life care discussions.

Work collaboratively with nursing and support staff in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Serve as an essential resource for oncology protocols, best practices, and community education.

Offer at least one full clinical day per week-or equivalent hours-plus telemedicine support as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid and unrestricted MD or DO with active Board Certification in Medical Oncology.

Eligibility for or possession of an Montana medical license upon appointment.

Demonstrable competence in oncology care and strong communication skills tailored to diverse patients.

Experience in rural or community settings is a plus.

Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
