Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career in a dynamic environment dedicated to exceptional patient care. As a Registered Nurse specializing in both PACU and PreOp responsibilities, you will play a key role in ensuring positive outcomes for surgical patients through every phase of the perioperative process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Current, unencumbered RN license Proven experience in PACU and PreOp settings Ability to monitor, assess, and respond to the needs of patients recovering from anesthesia Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities Proficient in electronic health record documentation BLS and ACLS certifications (active and up to date) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate bedside manner Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing clinical situations
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert care for patients before surgery and during post-anesthesia recovery Monitor vital signs, consciousness levels, and pain management needs Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to facilitate smooth patient transitions Educate patients and families about the perioperative process and post-surgical care Document all care activities accurately within electronic medical records Vigilantly assess for, identify, and respond to post-anesthesia complications in a timely manner This contract opportunity offers a chance to contribute to a high-performing surgical team while refining your specialized skills in preoperative and recovery care.
