Asheville, NC Schedule:
Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm Join a compassionate, high-performing surgical team supporting a multi-specialty practice of surgeons in cancer, surgical oncological, endocrinology, colon & rectal and minimally invasive surgery. As an RN, you'll play a vital role in delivering remarkable patient experiences—every visit, every time. As an RN, you will build meaningful relationships with patients and their support systems while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care throughout every stage of the healthcare journey Why You'll Love Being a Novant Health RN 💙 Practice at the top of your license in a setting that values specialty nursing expertise Be a trusted voice in patient-centered care decisions, where precision, education, and empathy matter Make a meaningful difference—every patient, every shift 🌟 What You'll Do Lead and support the healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care in an ambulatory setting Triage and manage incoming patient calls to ensure timely and appropriate follow up Room patients, prepare them for provider visits, and assist with in-office procedures Build authentic, personalized relationships with patients and their chosen support systems 🤝 Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create and manage individualized care plans regarding labs, imaging, and referrals Provide patient education and perioperative support including pre-op instructions, post op-care, and discharge teaching Apply best scientific evidence and clinical expertise to guide nursing decisions Advocate for patients while ensuring safe, compassionate, and high-quality care—supporting both physical outcomes and patient confidence Take ownership and accountability for the coordination and delivery of nursing care, with attention to detail and patient experience
What We're Looking For Education:
4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
Experience:
One year relevant experience, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current RN license in appropriate state, required. ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT; preferred. Why Choose Novant Health?
