Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and results-driven Nurse Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to lead our facility's educational and clinical training initiatives. In this vital leadership role, you will shape the quality of care by overseeing staff onboarding, continuous clinical education, and competency assessments. The ideal candidate is an inspiring nurse educator who blends hands-on clinical expertise with a passion for teaching, mentorship, and regulatory compliance.
Major Responsibilities Education & Mentorship:
Design, implement, and deliver ongoing clinical education, mentorship, and leadership development programs for clinical management and frontline staff.
Strategic Educational Goals:
Actively participate in shaping nursing department goals by aligning educational programming with staff development needs and clinical quality indicators.
Regulatory & Policy Compliance:
Ensure all educational programs and clinical practices comply with local, state, and federal guidelines. Assist in implementing and monitoring facility policies and standards of practice.
Onboarding & Retention:
Partner with leadership to recruit, hire, and effectively onboard qualified nursing staff. Drive employee retention through supportive orientation programs and continuous professional growth opportunities.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with the facility leadership team to promote seamless interdepartmental communication and coordinate facility-wide training initiatives.
Documentation & Compliance Tracking:
Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring accurate educational logs, training records, and clinical documentation systems to ensure survey readiness.
Direct Care & Support:
Provide direct resident nursing care as needed, maintaining strong, supportive interactions with residents and families while modeling exemplary clinical standards for staff.
Clinical Innovation:
Drive improved resident outcomes by introducing creative teaching methods, new healthcare ideas, and evidence-based processes to the clinical team.
Minimum Qualifications Licensure:
Current, active, and unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Certification:
Current CPR certification (CPR Instructor certification is a plus, or willingness to obtain).
Clinical Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
Management/Educator Experience:
At least one (1) year of management, supervisory, or clinical nurse educator experience.
Regulatory Expertise:
Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to nursing home operations and mandatory staff training requirements. SPICE (infection control) certification preferred •Rotating Weekend Coverage with Nursing Leadership #HP123
