Our AAAASF-accredited outpatient surgery center in Cary is hiring an experienced circulating RN to anchor our small surgery team. You will circulate for aesthetic plastic surgery cases early in the week and cross-train to circulate (and back up recovery) on our bariatric surgery days. Over time you become the dependable, all-around circulator our surgeons count on.

You would:

Circulate for plastic surgery and, cross-trained, bariatric/GI cases: positioning, prep, sterile technique, surgeon and anesthesia support, specimen and implant handling, room turnover Back up the recovery nurse and give breaks as needed Have minimal but real clinic exposure: back up the clinic nurse for some post-op cosmetic appointments and chaperone appointments in the cosmetic surgery practice Chart accurately and on time in our surgical system (SIS) and EMR (PatientNow), to AAAASF standards Help bring our per-diem nurses up to speed

Qualifications:

Active RN license in the state of North Carolina Minimum of 1-2 years of operating-room experience (surgery-center experience strongly preferred) Current BLS required; ACLS required (or within 60 days of hire) Strong sterile technique and solid post-anesthesia recovery skills for backup coverage Excellent communication and teamwork abilities CNOR preferred; bariatric or GI experience preferred What we offer: Full benefits, a predictable daytime schedule, employee discount and staff treatment services, and a genuine opportunity to grow into aesthetic plastic surgery nursing on a surgeon-led boutique team.
