Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care by performing physical examinations, vital signs assessments, and patient evaluations. Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, and other routes while following aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and wound care including ostomy management. Manage emergency situations by providing airway management, ventilator support, and acute pain management in line with best practices. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document patient care accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies including memory care and behavioral health support. Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpreting test results to inform treatment plans. Qualifications Valid RN license in good standing with relevant state certification. Proven experience in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, or post-acute care environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and HIPAA regulations. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform invasive procedures including phlebotomy, venipuncture, and sterile processing techniques. Critical care experience such as ICU or Level I/II trauma center background highly preferred. Skilled in patient assessment across populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal ventilator management, and individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health coaching topics like nutrition and medication adherence.
