Job Description

Job Summary :
Provides professional nursing care for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation to patients including patient assessment, treatment plan development, exercise instruction, patient education, and outcome measures as outlined by Cardiac/Pulmonary regulatory and organizational bodies. Performs cardiac monitoring, 12 lead EKG, standardized tests such as stress test and 6-minute walk tests, as well as vital sign and glucose monitoring to ensure safe exercise. Participates in development of clinical protocols and programming to ensure continuous quality improvement. Collaborates with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to provide quality patient care. Performs all activities in accordance with approved policies, regulation, and best practice models. Supervises and delegates appropriate duties to ancillary personnel.
Qualifications :
Current RN license to practice in NC (NC license or multi-state (compact). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification and current certification AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support required. Cardiac Rehabilitation experience preferred. Meets general hospital and departmental competency requirements. Demonstrates an understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
