Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by providing crucial care within a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting. Healthcare professionals in this role have the opportunity to support patients transitioning from intensive care, utilizing advanced monitoring techniques and specialized interventions. This contract assignment is ideal for Registered Nurses skilled in Stepdown and PCU environments who are committed to high-quality patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position; specific shift details to be provided during the interview process.
Qualifications:
Valid, unencumbered RN license. Completion of an accredited nursing program. Previous experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills. Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and interventions. Monitor, assess, and document changes in patient status, responding promptly to any signs of instability. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and perform complex nursing treatments. Educate patients and family members on care plans, recovery processes, and health maintenance. Support the transition of patients between critical care and general units. Adhere to all safety and quality protocols, ensuring compliance with facility policies and best practices.
