Pay Rate:
$35.33 - $37.85/hour Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse II to lead the implementation and delivery of occupational health programs and services that support employee health, safety, and wellness initiatives. This role is responsible for injury and illness assessment, triage, treatment, case management, health surveillance, wellness education, ergonomic assessments, and return-to-work coordination. The Occupational Health Nurse will collaborate closely with Human Resources, Safety, Legal, and site leadership to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including OSHA, ADA, HIPAA, and FMLA. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, treat, and manage work-related injuries and illnesses, including workers' compensation case management. Administer and coordinate leave-of-absence programs, including STD and FMLA. Manage the Occupational Health Clinic, including staffing, supplies, and operational effectiveness. Oversee medical surveillance and medical clearance programs. Maintain employee medical records in accordance with HIPAA, legal, and ethical standards. Partner with Safety and Industrial Hygiene teams regarding risk assessments, medical surveillance, accommodations, and injury prevention programs. Collaborate with HR and site leadership on return-to-work programs, ADA accommodations, fitness-for-duty evaluations, EAP referrals, and drug/alcohol programs. Support emergency response preparedness and provide medical expertise to emergency response teams. Promote employee wellness and health initiatives. Assess and provide treatment within scope of practice for work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses, referring to external providers when necessary. Assist with accident investigations from a medical perspective. Administer vaccinations and immunization programs as required. Required Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with an unrestricted nursing license. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field. Minimum 3-5 years of Occupational Health Nursing experience preferred. Case Management experience required. CPR/AED Certification required. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions. Working knowledge of OSHA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). Preferred Qualifications Occupational Health Nurse Certification (COHN/COHN-S). NIOSH-approved Spirometry Certification. CAOHC Certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience in occupational and environmental health, epidemiology, toxicology, industrial hygiene, and workplace safety programs. Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and documentation abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in case management and return-to-work programs. Knowledge of workplace health and wellness initiatives. Schedule Full-time, onsite position. Local candidates preferred. 12-month assignment with potential for extension.
