We're Looking For:
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program. Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty. Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
What You'll Do:
Participates in governance, councils, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across the continuum Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to drive outcomes Promotes a culture of safety and continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit performance Administers medications and treatments per protocols and maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation Demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and appropriate delegation Maintains ethical practice (ANA Code), pursues professional development, supports age-appropriate care, and may float as needed More About High Point Medical Center & Our Emergency Department High Point Medical Center, part of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, is deeply rooted in the High Point community. Our 351-bed hospital serves the residents of High Point and surrounding areas providing a wide range of patient- and family-centered care backed by the expertise of a nationally recognized academic medical center. Our hospital offers a full range of hospital-based services, including emergency services, cardiovascular services, vascular surgery, general surgery (including robotics), bariatric surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic and spine surgery, women's services (OB, GYN surgery, and GYN oncology), behavioral health, and inpatient rehabilitation. Our Emergency Department provides comprehensive care for all ages, including stroke and heart services. The facility features 34 acute beds, 6 Super Track beds, and 4 Behavioral Health beds. Although it offers a welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere with personalized care and easy navigation, it provides advanced resources typically found in larger hospitals. As a designated stroke center, it manages most stroke cases on-site, while myocardial infarctions are treated with our interventional cardiology services. Smaller hospitals often need to transfer these patients, but we offer the specialized care they need right here.
