Key Qualifications:
Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of one year of recent psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience BLS certification (current) Excellent communication and critical thinking skills Proficient in crisis intervention, patient assessment, and therapeutic communication
Responsibilities:
Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for psychiatric patients across the lifespan Perform comprehensive assessments and help develop individualized patient care plans Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and document according to policy Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients in acute settings Educate patients and families about treatment plans and coping strategies
