1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum (LDRP) position in Matthews, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of LDRP experience and an active NC or compact RN license. Details Maternity unit in a 44-licensed-bed community hospital in Matthews, NC 8-bed LDRP unit with an average census of 8 patients Patient population includes LDRP and GYN surgical cases Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios Procedures include circulating C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and newborn care (heel sticks, 24-hr testing, NAS scoring, lactation support)
EMR:
Epic (experience required) Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors, GE Corometrics fetal monitors, and GE Panda Warmers 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week Every other weekend rotation required No on-call requirements Floating required within Region 2: Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, and Levine Children's Hospital) Requirements Active NC or compact RN license required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Minimum 2 years of LDRP RN experience required, with most recent experience within the last year Proficiency in all aspects of LDRP care, including circulating C-sections and newborn care Epic EMR experience required Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth for consideration Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility Additional Information Unit support includes CNAs (1 per shift), a Receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, case manager, RT (24/7), Hospitalist or OB Physician (24/7), two OB practices, a Pediatrician, and Lactation Consultants Orientation includes NEO plus 2 days of departmental orientation Travelers are expected to work 75% of assigned holidays RTO of up to 6 days may be approved, excluding holidays A manager interview is required as part of the selection process
Scrubs:
navy blue required; hospital-issued scrubs provided while on unit Parking is free First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Candidates who have worked a permanent position at any AHSE facility must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
