  • Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children's Hospital) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience across the full continuum of maternal and newborn care, including labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, newborn assessments, and C-section circulating. Facility Highlights 174-bed acute care hospital Teaching facility affiliated with community schools of nursing TJC Stroke Accredited Member of the Lee Garvey Chest Pain Network No trauma designation Unit Details 18-bed LDRP unit 5-bed OB Triage 2 OB Operating Rooms 40-65 deliveries per month Patient population includes: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) Gynecological surgical patients Requirements Active RN license Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required First-time travelers accepted
Certifications:
BLS ACLS
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Required Skills Comprehensive LDRP nursing care Labor and delivery management Postpartum care Newborn care, including: Heel sticks 24-hour newborn testing NAS scoring Lactation support Circulating Cesarean sections Ability to independently work within an LDRP model Staffing & Support RN staffing follows AWHONN guidelines 1 CNA per shift Charge nurse with reduced assignment 24/7 unit secretary/reception support Case Management Respiratory Therapy available 24/7 In-house OB physicians and hospitalists Pediatrician support Lactation consultants

Panda Floating Requirements Candidates must be willing to float within Region 2 and within scope of practice, including:

CMC Main CMC Mercy Levine Children's Hospital Travelers will remain on the clock and be compensated for travel time between facilities when floating mid-shift.
Schedule Shift:
7:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM 36 hours/week Every other weekend No call required Schedule posted every 6 weeks Holiday & Time-Off Expectations Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved (excluding holidays) Approved time off may require extension of the contract to fulfill contracted hours Orientation New Employee Orientation (NEO) 2 days of department-specific orientation Additional Notes Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the home unit to qualify.
