Job Description Overview FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a nationally recognized health care system located in central North Carolina. Responsibilities The Labor and Delivery (L&D) OB Triage RN is responsible for providing comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery and the immediate postpartum period. The RN in this highly specialized role is skilled at managing both routine and high-risk pregnancies, monitoring fetal and maternal well-being, and assisting with deliveries. The L&D RN collaborates with the healthcare team to develop individualized plans of care for expectant mothers, while assessing and monitoring the health status of their patients, providing safe and compassionate care, while ensuring timely interventions. Qualifications The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position: Current unrestricted North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing school, AD degree in nursing, BSN preferred.
Experience:
One year of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
