Summary:

Provides professional nursing care to patients assigned to specified nursing unit. Provides patient care within the parameters of this assignment of responsibility, according to prescribed, delegated medical regimen and the hospital policies. Incumbents are accountable to the North Carolina Board of Nursing for practicing nursing within the scope of the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act.

Responsibilities:

1. Performs functions as a support nurse for the Physician/Provider, assisting them with all procedures, assessments, testing, and miscellaneous duties to support the efficient practice of the physician and the Midlevel (APC) providers - to include the Pharm D CPP (if applicable). 2. Assists with the development and expansion of a comprehensive Behavioral Health Services program to include inpatient and outpatient practice. 3.

COMPETENCE

Performs patient assessments and analyzes the data to determine the diagnoses or issues. 4. Identifies expected outcomes; formulates and documents individualized plan of care for assigned patients. 5. Implements and evaluates patient care. 6. Administers medications, treatments and therapies, and assists physicians with examinations, treatments and procedures. 7. Other information:

Education Requirements:

Associate's in Nursing. Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

Current license to practice as a RN in North Carolina. BCLS Certification. Specialty certification is preferred.

Professional Experience Requirements:

2 years' experience in Healthcare/Medical as a Nurse. Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
