Job Description

What We Offer Provides care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures. Collaborates with physicians and other team members to assess, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with current policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For Education :
Graduate from one of the following Accredited Education Programs required:
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Registered Radiology Technology (RTR)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT)
  • Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
  • Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (EMT-P)
  • Cardiovascular Tech (CVT)
  • Vascular Intervention (VI), required.
Experience :
If RN, one (1) year of Critical Care, Emergency Services, Cath/EP Lab, or Special Procedures experience, required. If EMT-P, two (2) years of acute care hospital experience, required. If RTR, RRT, RCIS, RCES, CVT or VI one (1) year of experience. preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Registered Nurse (RN)-North Carolina Board of Nursing License Registered Radiology Technologist (RTR) -ARRT Radiology OR Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) credentialing/accreditation and/or Paramedic associate degree from an appropriately recognized Paramedic program. Or Technologist Registry OR Respiratory Therapist-licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) AND Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as RRT. OR Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Cardiovascular Tech, and Vascular Intervention-graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program. If the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) is not an RN or an RTR with CI or VI certification, they must obtain either the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) credential within 24 months of hire, or as soon as the minimum case volume required to sit for the exam is completed, whichever occurs first, for continued employment, requirement. Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Pass yearly Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test.
