Job Description

RN Opportunities at Trinity Glen Trinity Glen is hiring Registered Nurses for part-time, full-time, PRN, and Baylor positions. Part-time roles begin at 20+ hours per week, full-time roles begin at 30+ hours per week, and benefits are available starting at 20+ hours per week. Pay and Benefits Starting base pay is $38 per hour and may vary based on experience. $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in increments. Flexible scheduling options are available, including typical 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Daily Pay is available, allowing access to earned pay before the regular payday. Benefits begin after 30 days of employment and include insurance and PTO. A free health insurance premium option is available. Additional Pay 2nd shift differential: $3.00 per hour. 3rd shift differential: $2.00 per hour.
Weekend shift differential:
$4.00 per hour for all shifts.
Pay in lieu of benefits:
an additional $2.00 per hour. Position Summary The Staff Nurse provides resident care under the medical direction and supervision of attending physicians, the Director of Nursing Services, and the facility's Medical Director. This role focuses on treatments, medication administration, and supporting care plans that meet each resident's physical and psychosocial needs in accordance with established medical practices, state requirements, and LSC policies and goals. Essential Responsibilities Medication Administration and Documentation Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed, using the six rights of medication administration. Administer medications by oral, IM, subcutaneous, and G-tube routes; administer IV fluids and medications under direct RN supervision, if applicable. Follow LSC procedures for medication administration documentation, physicians' orders, nurses' notes, and other resident care records in the electronic medical record. Follow LSC procedures for medication receipt and storage, including labeling, timely reordering, returning discontinued medications, and verifying controlled medication accuracy. Maintain the security of drug rooms and carts, and follow established guidelines for storing drugs and biologicals. Resident Care and Clinical Support Report changes in a resident's condition promptly and appropriately, and immediately report possible abuse or crimes against a resident. Follow each resident's care plan and participate in the care planning process as indicated. Provide routine skin care, dressing changes, ostomy care, catheter care, Foley catheter insertion and removal, and tube feedings. Use clinical equipment such as glucometers, PT/INR machines, and bladder scanners, as applicable. Administer respiratory services, including oxygen, O2 saturation monitoring, and nebulizer treatments. Assist with the admission and discharge process. Honor resident choice by supporting residents in directing their own care and making personal choices about daily schedules, activities, and routines. Safety, Reporting, and Communication Follow LSC procedures for reporting medication errors, incidents, and accidents. Notify the supervisor, physician, and resident representative of changes in orders or condition, as required. Report exposure to bloodborne pathogens or hazardous chemicals, as well as near-miss accidents and accidents with or without injury, as soon as possible to a supervisor. Make rounds throughout the shift, communicate reports at the beginning and end of each shift, and make rounds with physicians as assigned. Practice safe infection control standards, use equipment safely, including lifts, and follow emergency procedures as instructed. Professional Standards Participate in educational programs and in-service training as required. Reflect LSC's mission, vision, values, and customer service standards in daily interactions. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This role oversees members of the nursing team, including CNAs, restorative nursing assistants, and medication aides. Responsibilities may include coaching and training team members as indicated and as allowed under the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Qualifications The requirements below represent the knowledge, skills, abilities, and credentials needed for this role. Education and Licensure Nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or graduation from an approved LPN/RN program. Current nursing license in the state of North Carolina as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse. CPR certification, or the ability to become CPR certified. Experience and Skills No prior experience is required. Communicates cordially and tactfully with residents, families, peers, and others while maintaining confidentiality. Computer skills are preferred; candidates must have the ability or willingness to learn electronic resident documentation. Preferred Qualifications Two years of experience as an LPN or RN is preferred. Physical exertion may include pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Prolonged standing and/or walking may be required while transporting objects. Occasional bending, squatting, or repeated reaching may be required. Must be able to assist with repositioning and transferring individuals of varying weights while following established safe lifting procedures. Must be able to move throughout the facility as needed.
