Beds:
16 on PHO and 16 on PA Average 14-32 patients per day Minimum Years of Experience required?
PHO:
1 year in Pediatric hem/oncology acute care Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, with a strong pediatric background
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, behavioral health overlay, general adolescent medicine
Patient Ratios:
RN:
Peds Hem/Oncology - 1: 3-4 Peds Adolescent Medicine 1:4-5
CNA:
1:6-16
Required Licensure & Certifications:
PHO:
BLS, PALS
preferred, APHON required chemo certification required Skills required: Central line management, chemo administration, strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking. Support within the
Department:
CNA:
vital signs, ADL, safety rounding, I&Os Receptionist/HUC Charge nurse Phlebotomy IV/VAT Team - for difficult peripheral access
Resource Nurse:
availability varies
RT, 24/7
Hospitalist, 24/7 Intensivist, 24/7 Bedside telemetry monitoring, no Tele tech is available.

If yes, where? Will work routinely between PA and PHO and other units in Brenner except Peds ED. Orientation (facility and unit): NEO 2 days departmental

Weekend rotation: every other No on call requirement
Holiday Expectations:
Travelers will work 75% of holidays

NM Shift times: 7a-7p Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks Other notes:
