1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week LTC/SNF night shift travel contract requiring prior long-term care experience and an active ND or compact RN license. Details Long-term care (LTC) facility with 26 beds Patients commonly present with heart disease, diabetes, and dementia Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:10 on days and 1:19 on nights 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a Every other weekend required Every other major holiday required No on-call or call requirements No floating requirements No telemetry monitoring on this unit No IV or titratable drip requirements Oxygen therapy includes concentrators and portable concentrators Charting is performed in MatrixCare (Matrix); experience preferred Pharmacy is located off-site No blocked schedule or self-scheduling Requirements Active ND or compact (NLC) RN license — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Prior LTC experience required Current BLS certification required; pending certifications not accepted A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years — both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Additional Information RN serves as charge nurse, responsible for medication administration and wound care Physician is available by phone after hours; no on-site supervisor — unit is overseen by a DON Supportive services include PT (as needed) and a social worker designee; no rehab beds on this unit No respiratory therapy on-site Unit-specific orientation consists of 2-3 shifts (12-hour orientation total) Scrubs must be clean and presentable; no specific color requirement Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year — candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered RTO requests of 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
