Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited school of nursing, a valid RN license in the state of practice, and at least two years of recent intensive care unit experience. You must maintain credentials required for critical care, such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is recommended. Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills are valued.
