Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Travel Experience the heartland of Nebraska in Elm Creek, a welcoming Midwestern town perfect for outdoor exploration and a genuine sense of community. This travel assignment offers more than just professional growth—your evenings and days off can be spent hiking scenic trails, experiencing local festivals, or exploring historic sites nearby. Immerse yourself in a region known for its hospitality and beautiful landscapes while gaining invaluable clinical experience. This is a travel nursing opportunity on a progressive care (stepdown) unit, providing exceptional care primarily to adults with cardiac, medical-surgical, and high-acuity diagnoses such as post-stent, post-pacer, renal failure, and sepsis. You'll work alongside a collaborative team, encountering a variety of workplace approaches, diverse patient populations, and leadership styles that will expand your professional skillset and resume.
Schedule/Hours:
Night shifts: 1830-0630 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week Every other weekend required Minimum of 2 holidays within contract periodQualifications:
RN license with at least 2 years of progressive care/stepdown experience Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Competency with arterial lines and titration of drips (Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin) Strong skills in telemetry, high flow RT equipment, and interpreting tele strips Flexible, team-oriented, and open to feedback Willingness to float to MedSurg or ICU (with PCU-level patients) Must be outside a 50-mile radius from Elm Creek and not affiliated with certain health systems Must pass an open-book skills exam (90% required) Artificial nails not allowed per patient care policiesResponsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care to adults with various complex health needs Maintain high standards for patient experience, responsiveness, and communication Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and monitor techs Adapt quickly to evolving situations and feedbackBenefits & Perks:
