Working in a progressive care unit (PCU) in this region means engaging with a diverse range of patients and medical cases, from cardiac and vascular events to cancer care, sepsis, and post-surgical recovery. Schedule/Hours:
Night shifts: 1830-0630 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week Every other weekend requirement Minimum two holidays during the contract
Qualifications:
Active RN license Minimum 2 years of Stepdown/PCU experience
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
certifications required Competency with arterial lines and titration of critical drips Strong skills in cardiac and med/surg patient care Comfortable interpreting telemetry/monitor strips Ability to float to MedSurg or ICU (with similar acuity) Must pass an open-book skills exam during orientation (minimum 90%)
