Job Description

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Medical/Surgical setting. Communicates with physicians, leadership, and co-workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. BSN or current enrollment in BSN program preferred.
OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification required within 6 months of hire. For those working in a charge role: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 90 days of hire. For those working in a charge role: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
