Job Description

Holy Family Medical Associates, LLC is looking for a compassionate experienced Part-time or PRN RN or LPN to join our awesome team! This individual will help cover shifts for vacation requests, sick days, medical leaves etc. Hours are, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. No weekends and No Holiday's. If you are someone interested in consistent part-time hours, (2-3 days a week) that is also an option if PRN isn't ideal. This individual will be cross trained in both patient rooming responsibilities as well as phone triage. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and enjoy learning all aspects of patient care in a family practice setting. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform basic nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
  • Obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
  • Record medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical record.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures.
  • Prepare and administer injections, perform routine tests, treat wounds, and change bandages.
  • Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines.
  • Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
  • Assess and triage patients for appropriate treatment within the clinic.
  • Accurately obtain health history and rectify medications.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
  • Refill mediations via Electronic Medical Record
  • Place orders within the Electronic Medical Record for various testing include labs, diagnostic testing etc.
  • Administer medication by oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal.
  • May be asked to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
  • Record medical history, vital statistics or information such as test results in electronic medical record.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, tests or treatments and explain procedures
  • Initiate prior authorizations for procedures and medications and follow up with patients on approval.
  • Contact medical facilities or departments to schedule patients for tests or admission.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
  • Communicate with patients regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by healthcare provider.
  • Educate patient and/or family on prescribed treatment regimens.
  • Serve as interpreter between the patient and provider as required.
  • Provide for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
