Position Summary:
As an On-Call Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide clinical support across the campus on an as-needed basis, ensuring high-quality care and timely response to resident needs. This role offers flexibility while maintaining a critical presence in supporting nursing operations, staffing coverage, and resident care outcomes. Ideal for a dependable, experienced RN who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and regulatory standards Respond to call-offs, increased census, and urgent staffing needs across shifts Assess resident conditions, monitor changes, and communicate effectively with providers and care teams Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Support and collaborate with CNAs, Medication Aides, and other team members Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company policies and state regulations Uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times Serve as a clinical resource and leader when working on assigned shifts
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska (or compact state) Current CPR/BLS certification Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living preferred Strong clinical judgment and ability to adapt quickly in varying situations Excellent communication and teamwork skills Reliable, flexible, and responsive to scheduling needs
