Travel PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN)

Schedule/Hours:

Shifts:

6:30 AM-7:00 PM or 6:30 PM-7:00 AM Every other weekend required Holiday rotation: Every third holiday No call or standby requirement

Qualifications:

Active RN license Minimum 2 years of RN experience; at least 1 year in

Progressive Care/stepdown Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (required) Must pass a skills exam (90% or higher) during orientation Driver's license required to verify eligibility (must reside outside 50-mile radius) Commitment to removing artificial nails, per patient care policy Cannot be employed (full time, part time, PRN) with affiliated systems

Key Responsibilities:

Care for adults and geriatrics with complex cardiac, neurologic, and metabolic diagnoses Safely titrate medications (Cardizem, betablockers, seizure meds) Collaborate with Charge Nurse, nurse aides, and interdisciplinary teams Float to medical, ICU, and rehab as needed Maintain exceptional communication, teamwork, and critical thinking
