Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in a small, fast-paced facility located in Claremont, New Hampshire. This role offers opportunities to develop your clinical skills across multiple units, including Emergency Room, Medical/Surgical, Progressive Care (PCU), and Float assignments during night shifts. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently, adapt quickly to changing clinical situations, and provide exceptional patient-centered care.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and ongoing reassessments tailored to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
  • Manage and reassess pain using appropriate techniques; educate patients and families on pain management strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly revise individualized care plans based on patient responses and evolving clinical needs.
  • Administer medications accurately in accordance with the "Six Rights," ensuring safety and efficacy; possess a solid understanding of medication pharmacology relative to patient age and condition.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in performing procedures, assisting physicians, and utilizing technical skills, including invasive procedures and treatments.
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms using telemetry; identify and respond to dysrhythmias following ACLS protocols.
  • Assess and interpret hemodynamic data to support patient stabilization and treatment planning.
  • Manage complex cases involving fluid and electrolyte imbalances, nutritional concerns, and other metabolic issues.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, charge nurses, and ancillary departments.
  • Educate patients and families, incorporating family members into teaching plans, addressing identified learning needs.
  • Maintain flexibility and organization to operate efficiently under pressure, especially in a small, rural facility setting.

Qualifications:
  • Valid and current RN licensure.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Proven ability to work independently in a busy, small-unit environment with minimal supervision.
  • Prior experience in emergency, med/surg, or progressive care settings preferred; rural healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Strong assessment skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to respond swiftly to patient changes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under stress.
