Job Description

REGISTERED NURSE
Tired of Working nights and weekends? Looking for a rewarding nursing position? Join our team today! Northern Human Services-New Horizons has a unique part-time opening for a Registered Nurse, who will work as a Nurse Trainer in the field of developmental disabilities and mental health. Successful candidate will work closely with the Agency and State to oversee medications of clients in accordance with state regulations.
Nurse Trainer tasks include:
instructing a curriculum, "Healthcare Coordination and Administration of Medication", to home care providers, directly observing Authorized Providers to administer medications safely, collaborating with the healthcare team during quarterly meetings and annual Service Agreements, and visiting homes of client's receiving Agency services. Candidate will enjoy a busy, varied, flexible work routine, both in and outside of the office. Excellent communication and listening skills are essential, as is prior experience and comfort working with individuals with developmental and acquired brain disorders. Some local area travel required. Job includes flexible weekday hours, a supportive, multi-disciplinary working environment and the opportunity to utilize your nursing and "people" skills in a Human Services setting. Position includes on-the-job training and attending a Nurse Trainer Orientation. This position can be located out of our Redstone or Tamworth office. Position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience within the last 5 years.
