Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' health and well-being in a vibrant educational setting near Derry, NH. This full-time, onsite opportunity spans from August 24, 2026, to June 17, 2027, with a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule and a manageable 37.5-hour work week. You'll be working directly with a dynamic middle school caseload, making a difference in students' lives each day.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN Licensure in the state of New Hampshire Licensed as a school nurse through the Department of Education Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare is valued Capable of collaborating with educators, families, and support staff Compassionate communicator skilled at building rapport with students of diverse backgrounds Commitment to upholding student confidentiality and advocating for their health District-fingerprint clearance required Readiness for a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process
Primary Duties:
Provide daily health services to students, addressing illnesses, injuries, and ongoing medical needs Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with state regulations Administer prescribed medications and manage care plans for students with chronic conditions Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and wellness topics Monitor and respond to potential communicable diseases within the school environment Support the development of individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and 504 plans Participate in team meetings with teachers, counselors, and administrators This is a contract role ideal for a proactive, caring registered nurse who thrives in a school-based environment.
