Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting student health and well-being in an engaging educational environment near Keene, NH. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity for a dedicated RN or LPN/LVN to provide one-on-one care to a student for the duration of the 2026-2027 school year, beginning August 26, 2026 and ending June 17, 2027. Make a meaningful impact by providing individualized healthcare within a dynamic school setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) Experience working in school environments or with pediatric populations is highly valued Knowledge of common childhood illnesses, allergy management, medication administration, and emergency response protocols Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and educational staff Strong organizational abilities for effective documentation and care planning Compassionate, patient, and able to build trust with students requiring ongoing support
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care, including medication management, health monitoring, and assistance with daily medical needs Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to foster a healthy, safe learning atmosphere Collect and document student health information; maintain accurate medical records and care logs Respond swiftly and effectively to health emergencies, following proper school guidelines Serve as a resource to staff and families regarding student wellness and individualized health plans Contribute to the collaborative gathering of information for optimal care strategies This contract role offers the rewarding chance to have a direct and positive influence every school day.
