Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting student health and wellbeing in a vibrant educational environment. As a contract Registered Nurse working in a school health office, you will be the go-to medical professional for students, staff, and families, making every day an opportunity to make a difference.
Key Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Previous experience as a school nurse or in a similar pediatric or community health setting Ability to triage and manage minor injuries and illnesses Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students of all ages Proficient in maintaining accurate health records and documentation Compassionate, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced atmosphere
Core Responsibilities:
Provide care and first aid for injuries and illnesses during the school day Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians Maintain, update, and manage confidential student health records Monitor for signs of communicable diseases and implement infection control measures Collaborate with faculty, families, and outside healthcare providers regarding student needs Educate students and staff on wellness topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and safety Support the development of health plans for students with chronic conditions or allergies This rewarding opportunity lets you play a critical role in fostering a healthy, safe, and inclusive school environment.
