Registered Resource Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab 5 x 8s or 4 x 10s (40 hours per week)

Job:
The Resource Registered Nurse directly oversees their designated unit's operational flow on a particular shift. The Resource RN develops staff patient assignments based on staff competency, acuity, and volume. The role coordinates patient care activities and the staffing plan of a particular shift to maintain patient safety. They serve as a role model and resource for the team providing guidance and assistance in delivering quality care to patients. The Resource RN collaborates with the Clinical Nurse Manager to ensure adequate resources are available.
What You'll Do:
Ensure unit-based practice guidelines and competencies are current. Maintain unit-based compliance with organizational, professional, and regulatory standards. Assess and implement priority-based nursing care and establish goals to meet the patient's needs. Delegate care activities to patient care team. Use Electronic Medical Record information management and documentation technology to accurately and consistently plan and document patient care.
Who You Are:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. Registered Nurse in NH or compact state Minimum of two (2) years of progressive clinical experience in acute care and/or specialty areas required. Maintain professional and regulatory knowledge to evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership, and mentoring skills Ability to achieve the following competencies: Within 90 days: Clinical nurse competencies (per Unit based RN job description) Staff assignment Resource management Mentoring Within 180 days: Conflict management Interviewing, counseling and performance assessment Performance improvement education Service recovery
