Job Description

  • Position Overview:
    Pediatrics Office Nurse (RN)
  • The Pediatrics Office Nurse (RN) is responsible for prescribing and coordinating comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients.
This role operates autonomously, adhering to established nursing practices, medical directives, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. Utilizing the Nursing Process, the Office Nurse conducts assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions. Additionally, the Office Nurse plays a key role in mentoring clinical support staff, including LPNs and Medical Assistants, in executing delegated tasks aligned with the therapeutic care plan.
  • Core Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care:
  • Deliver direct patient care through thorough assessment, strategic planning, execution of nursing interventions, and evaluation of patient outcomes to ensure optimal health results.
  • Collaborative Teamwork:
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals to formulate and implement tailored patient care plans.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive medical records documenting patient conditions, treatment regimens, and progress. Promptly communicate any significant changes or concerns to relevant team members.
  • Medication Administration:
  • Systematically administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Patient Education:
  • Provide educational resources and guidance to patients and families regarding disease management, treatment options, and preventive health strategies to enhance overall wellness.
  • Support and Advocacy:
  • Deliver emotional support and advocate for patients' rights, ensuring that they receive dignified and compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.
  • Adherence to
Policies and Regulations:
  • Uphold all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to foster a safe and ethical healthcare environment.
  • Continuous Learning:
  • Actively pursue ongoing professional development to remain abreast of advancements in medical practices, therapeutic interventions, and industry standards.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Qualifications:
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, technical procedures, and healthcare equipment. Candidates should possess prior nursing experience; applications from new graduates will not be considered at this time due to the inability to provide comprehensive orientation. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing is required.
  • Certification Requirements:
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA Certification
  • State License Requirements:
  • Active New Hampshire or Compact RN/LPN license required at the time of application submission.
