School Nurse | Windham Center School | 2026-2027 School Year | ID #168 Windham School District - 3.6 Windham, NH Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications RN License Bachelor of Science in Nursing Bachelor's degree in nursing Full Job Description School Nurse, Windham SAU #95 Windham, NH 2026-2027 School Year The Registered School Nurse (RN) is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff. This position provides direct nursing care, manages student health records, administers medications and treatments, responds to medical emergencies, and collaborates with staff and families. The School Nurse plays a vital role in creating a safe learning environment by identifying health-related barriers to education, implementing individualized healthcare plans, and ensuring compliance with state regulations and school policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional nursing assessments, care, and interventions for students and staff. Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders and district policies. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic or special health needs. Maintain accurate and confidential student health records. Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate follow-up care. Conduct health screenings and support health education initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations and school district policies. Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support student academic achievement and overall well-being.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse BSN required; NH DOE certification required
