at Cape•IR•01-6725-5400 37.5 hours/week. 5 days a week. Shifts vary. 7a to 3p. 7:30 to 3:30, 8a to 4p & 9a to 5p. 9a to 5p shift may have to stay over some days for late post op. PICC line placement experience is a requirement. Responsibilities Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures by conducting thorough assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and current medications. Assist radiologists during procedures such as catheterizations, biopsies, embolizations, and other minimally invasive interventions. Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety throughout all procedures. Monitor patient status continuously during procedures, managing sedation levels and responding promptly to any adverse reactions or complications. Administer medications including contrast agents, anesthetics, and emergency drugs following proper protocols. Document all patient interactions, procedural details, and clinical observations accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Provide post-procedure care instructions and ensure proper discharge planning while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management. Skills Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to interventional radiology. Proficiency in operating EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation. Experience with IV infusion, venipuncture, catheter care, suturing, and sterile processing techniques. Familiarity with advanced imaging modalities including CT scans used in interventional procedures. Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or emergency medicine enhances your ability to manage acute situations effectively. Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control standards necessary for invasive procedures. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating excellent patient assessment skills.
