- $52 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification RN License BLS Certification Full Job Description A medical center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Detox Acute Inpatient unit on a local contract basis, in East Orange, NW.
This is a great opportunity to make an impact in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Job Function Days/Nights shifts available. Administers medications, treatments, and physician-ordered interventions in compliance with program protocols and legal regulations. Conducts patient assessments, including physical exams, health histories, TB screenings, and monitors patient response using tools like CIWA-Ar and COWS. Documents all patient observations, treatments, and interactions accurately and timely in accordance with nursing standards and organizational policies. Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and pharmacists to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care. Maintains a safe, sanitary environment while applying infection control practices and participating in safety and emergency procedures.
Job Requirements:
1 year nursing experience in a detox or acute care facility. At least 1 year of experience in addiction management preferred. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current New Jersey Registered Nurse license.
Required certification:
BLS-CPR.
