This role involves providing high-quality patient care with a focus on Korean-speaking patients, ensuring effective communication, and delivering comprehensive nursing services across various clinical settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acute and chronic care, with experience in diverse medical environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, and outpatient clinics. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while working within a dynamic and supportive team. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation, utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Provide direct patient care in areas such as critical care, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and hospice & palliative medicine. Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, catheterizations, and other methods following sterile techniques and safety protocols. Assist with specialized procedures including suturing, dermal fillers, spinal taps, sonography, gastrostomy tube feeding, and airway management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet patients' medical and emotional needs. Support telehealth consultations by providing accurate patient assessments and follow-up care instructions. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of patient information and proper medical documentation. Participate in clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives related to infectious disease care, pain management, or other specialties. Provide education and health coaching to patients and their families about disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications. Maintain proficiency in CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and utilization review processes. Qualifications Valid nursing license with current registration to practice in the relevant jurisdiction. Fluency in Korean and English to facilitate effective communication with Korean-speaking patients. Prior experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), or Level I Trauma Center preferred. Demonstrated expertise in acute pain management, dialysis procedures, ventilator management, and infection control practices. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with Athenahealth is advantageous. Knowledge of pharmacology related to psychopharmacology, anesthesia (including esthetic laser treatments), and medication administration protocols. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatric (pediatrics), neonatal (neonatal ventilator), elderly (geriatrics), or individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Strong critical thinking skills combined with excellent patient assessment capabilities. Ability to perform sterile processing techniques such as phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and aseptic techniques. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law is beneficial for handling injury-related cases. Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and infection control standards at all times.
