Job Description

Nursing Director - Home Health Fair Lawn, NJ | On-Site | Full-Time, Direct Hire | $95,000 to $110,000/year A home health agency in Fair Lawn, New Jersey is hiring a Director of Nursing (RN) to oversee clinical care standards and lead the nursing team. The role manages nurse supervisors and care partners, ensures regulatory compliance, develops operational policies, and reports directly to the CEO.
Schedule:
Full-time, on-site in Fair Lawn, NJ. Availability via phone during designated Agency On-Call hours, with home visits as needed.
Compensation:
$95,000 to $110,000 base salary, based on experience What You'll Do Coordinate the delivery of home care services in line with agency philosophy and clinical standards, and actively monitor the clinical status of all clients. Manage nurse assignments to client visits, oversee the per diem nurse supervisor budget, and lead hiring activities including interviewing, orientation, and competency testing. Evaluate nurse supervisors and care partners. Perform client assessments as needed, including initial assessments, monitoring visits, reassessments, and discharges. Develop and coordinate the agency's in-service training program, including bringing in guest presenters and delivering educational content directly. Maintain compliance with local, state, federal, and HIPAA regulations. Coordinate with community agencies to support continuity of care. Communicate with clients, families, and care partners. Provide phone guidance and conduct home visits during designated Agency On-Call hours. Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing issued by the New Jersey Board of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or other health-related field, with 2+ years of professional RN experience in community health or home health (or 3+ years of progressive RN experience in community health or home health in lieu of a BSN) Direct experience providing nursing services in a patient's home or assisted living environment Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing Strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills Comfortable being on-call by phone and conducting home visits as needed Preferred Qualifications Prior leadership or supervisory experience in home health Experience developing in-service training programs Familiarity with New Jersey home health regulatory requirements Compensation and Benefits $95,000 to $110,000 base salary, based on experience 401(k) with 1% match, eligible from Day 1 3 weeks paid time off (2 weeks vacation, 1 week sick) Dental and vision insurance Partial medical insurance subsidy for plans purchased through the healthcare marketplace To apply, submit your resume through this posting.
