Job Description

Nursing Intern Nursing Intern Position Summary Provides quality nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Works within the guidelines of established practice for the Patient Care Assistant at HMC. Supports the mission, philosophy and objectives of Hunterdon Medical Center. Primary Position Responsibilities 1. Assistant with total patient care under the direction of the RN 2. Promotes patient safety 3. Promotes and supports an organized work environment 4. Other duties as assigned Work Contact Group (Internal/External) Nurses, doctors, interdepartmental staff, families and patients. None Qualifications Minimum Education :
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be currently enrolled in nursing school and have completed the first clinical semester course (Nursing Fundamentals).

Current CPR certification is required. Crisis Prevention (CPI) training is required, and must be renewed annually. If not certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 6 months. CPI Course will be provided at Hunterdon. Knowledge, Skills and/or

Required:
Normal basic patient care equipment, wheelchairs and stretchers. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
