Hours Per Week Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive admission and preoperative nursing assessments. Start IVs and prepare patients for procedures. Monitor and manage patients in PACU and post-procedure recovery. Assess patient conditions and prioritize care needs. Administer therapeutic nursing interventions as required. Provide post-anesthesia monitoring and recovery care. Document patient care accurately and timely. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices. Ensure patient safety and continuity of care throughout the perioperative process. Support Interventional Radiology recovery patients as needed.
Preferred:
3+ years of PACU experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Experience in Interventional Radiology recovery settings. Strong IV insertion and post-anesthesia recovery experience. Experience in high-acuity or hospital-based perioperative units.
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (NJ or Compact). Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care, Pre-Op, and PACU experience. Strong Telemetry background. Telemetry Certification required. Current BLS (AHA) certification. Current ACLS (AHA) certification. Current PALS (AHA) certification. Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) minimum.
