September 26, 2026) Job Summary We are seeking two highly skilled and compassionate Mother/Baby Registered Nurses (RN) for a 13-week contract at a premier healthcare facility in Neptune, NJ. This role is primarily focused on Postpartum / Mother-Baby care rather than Labor & Delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients, managing post-delivery care for mothers and newborns, executing individualized care plans, and executing therapeutic nursing interventions.
Schedule & Shift Breakdown Hours:
36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)
Shift:
Night Shift (7:00 PM•7:30 AM)
Weekends/Holidays:
Every other weekend and every other holiday required
On-Call:
No On-Call requirements
Float Requirements:
No Floating required
Uniform Note:
Scrubs are provided by the facility (Navy Blue)
Key Responsibilities Postpartum Patient Care:
Evaluate, plan, implement, and document comprehensive nursing care for postpartum mothers and newborns.
Assessment & Evaluation:
Identify patient needs, initiate ongoing clinical assessments based on nursing standards, and coordinate individualized care plans in alignment with professional nursing practice models.
Clinical Intervention:
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and support evidence-based practice standards for maternal-child health.
Patient Advocacy & Education:
Act as a patient advocate, providing patient-centric care and educating families on postpartum recovery and newborn care basics.
Accurate Documentation:
Maintain meticulous electronic documentation of clinical priorities, assessments, and care provided in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications & Experience Experience:
Minimum of 3+ years of dedicated Mother/Baby (Postpartum) clinical experience required ( 5 years preferred ).
Clinical Skillset:
Strong proficiency in Postpartum care, Antepartum care, and Newborn clinical support. Knowledge of Labor & Delivery/OR environments is highly valued.
Education:
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing ( ASN ). Bachelor of Science in Nursing ( BSN ) is highly preferred.
Licensure & Certifications:
License:
Active New Jersey State Registered Nurse (RN) license or a valid multi-state compact license.
BLS:
Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification.
ACLS:
Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
NRP:
Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification. Compensation Blueprint (Estimates)
Competitive Contract Rates:
Aligned with a premium healthcare facility $80.00/hr bill rate structure. Final travel/local contract packages are determined based on agency pass-through models, local tax-free stipends (if eligible), and experience. Overtime /
Holiday Rate:
Aligned with a premium rate structure.
