Job Overview :
The Clinical Nurse Navigator is a registered professional nurse with clinical oncology knowledge who works in multiple departments to provide individualized culturally sensitive assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers using the nursing process. Provides education and resources to facilitate informed decision-making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of the care continuum,
Qualifications :
Required:
BSN required Two to three years of nursing experience required,
Preferred:
MSN One - two years Navigation experience One year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting
Certifications and Licenses Required:
BLS from the American Heart Association Current New Jersey RN license Navigation certification required within three years of employment
Scheduling Requirements:
Day Shift, 40 hours per week
Responsibilities :
Ensuring the delivery of safe and quality patient care. Perform, adapt and safely demonstrate procedures required by patients according to policies and procedures. Administers medications accurately and safely. Documents according to policies and procedures Performs, demonstrates and documents technical skills specific to the nursing unit.
