Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based nursing position supporting students' health and well-being in a vibrant educational environment near Jersey City, NJ. This contract role offers the unique opportunity to impact young lives, collaborate with dedicated faculty, and ensure a safe, healthy school community.
Key Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric settings strongly preferred Solid assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Familiarity with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency procedures Ability to work independently while collaborating with staff, students, and families
Position Responsibilities:
Provide daily health care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of acute and chronic health issues Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.), and maintain accurate health records Develop and implement individualized health care plans in partnership with families and educational staff Respond to medical emergencies and participate in crisis interventions as needed Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and wellness topics to promote healthy lifestyles Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community resources to support student health This contract opportunity is designed for compassionate nurses ready to champion student wellness and safety.
