Job Description:

Position Title :

Summer Rec Program Half-Day Nurse -

LPN Program Duration:

6 Weeks, beginning June 30, 2025 until August 8, 2025 (must be present all 6 weeks). Closed 7/4.

Hours :

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday to

Friday Responsibilities:

Health & Safety Oversight :

Provide immediate care for any illnesses or injuries during camp hours.

Medical Administration :

Dispense medications as required and ensure campers' health needs (e.g., allergies, dietary restrictions) are met.

First Aid :

Administer first aid for minor injuries and assist with more serious medical situations if necessary.

Emergency Response :

Be prepared to manage and respond to emergencies, including contacting parents, arranging transportation to the hospital, or calling emergency services if needed.

Health Monitoring :

Ensure that all camper health records are updated, including emergency contact info, allergies, and medications.

Parent Communication :

Keep parents informed about any health-related issues, including if a child needs to leave camp early due to illness or injury.

Safety Compliance :

Ensure all camp activities comply with safety protocols regarding health and well-being.

Qualifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid state license. Experience in pediatric care or working with children is preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid. Ability to work independently and manage multiple health needs in a fast-paced environment.

Wages:

Hourly:

$18 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and location.
