Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for the full-time overnight shift. The RN will play a key role in delivering comprehensive care to clients in detox and residential treatment programs. This role includes client assessment, medication administration, supervision of staff, and collaboration with medical and clinical teams. Pay Transparency Notice (New Jersey Compliance): The wage range posted reflects the expected compensation for this position in the state of New Jersey. Actual pay will be based on the candidate's experience, education, and qualifications.
Summary of Duties:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, and coordinating the delivery of nursing care for clients in both detox and residential treatment settings. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, administering medications, supervising LPNs and support staff, and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols. The RN will rotate on-call shifts, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with medical and counseling teams to support individualized treatment plans. Additional duties include chart audits, training new nursing staff, participating in committees, and serving as a leadership presence in the absence of the Director of Nursing. The RN must be able to manage co-occurring client conditions and contribute to a safe, compassionate care environment. This summary is not exhaustive. Qualifications:
Required:
Active NJ Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license with NJ endorsement BLS Certification Valid NJ Driver's License Minimum two years drug/alcohol-free if in recovery Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
Preferred:
ASN or Nursing Diploma Experience in detox or behavioral health facility Knowledge of chemical dependency and 12-step programs
Work Schedule:
Full-Time 3 shifts per week Rotating on-call responsibilities after orientation
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Must be ambulatory with visual/hearing acuity Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to interpret and act on clinical data
