Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact as a school-based Registered Nurse this summer! Positions are available for compassionate, credentialed nurses who thrive in educational environments and are ready to support the health and wellbeing of students across multiple school buildings. This is a part-time, contract role beginning July 1, 2026, and concluding July 31, 2026. Each opening requires 20 hours per week, with four positions running from 8:30AM to 12:30PM, and an additional night school nurse position (hours to be determined). The assignment is fully onsite, providing district-wide support and hands-on care in various school settings located near Orange, NJ. Preferred candidates bring prior school-based nursing experience (beyond clinical roles), possess active New Jersey RN licensure and relevant school nurse certifications, and can start quickly. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience while making a difference in a supportive community atmosphere. What you'll need: Active New Jersey RN license and valid NJ school nurse certification Demonstrated school-based nursing experience (school setting required) Fingerprinting clearance (both agency and district requirements) Recent TB test and physical examination Confidence providing care across diverse school populations Availability for an in-person and/or virtual (Zoom) interview Ability to fulfill the entire contract term onsite Your role will involve: Responding to student health needs promptly and professionally Managing routine and emergency care for students and staff Supporting school-wide health initiatives and education Maintaining meticulous health records and compliance standards Collaborating closely with the district health team and other educators Seize this chance to contribute your expertise where it's needed most.
