  • 11:00 PM Position Summary Facility is seeking experienced Travel Registered Nurses (RNs) for its Emergency Department.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric populations. This role requires strong clinical judgment, exceptional assessment skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency care environment. Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment & Care Delivery Perform comprehensive, accurate, and ongoing patient assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans. Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in accordance with departmental and organizational standards. Clinical Excellence Demonstrate proficiency in emergency nursing procedures, equipment, and protocols. Perform direct patient care activities while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary team members. Prioritize patient care based on acuity and changing clinical conditions. Utilize critical thinking and sound clinical judgment in emergency situations. Documentation Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, education provided, and progress toward outcomes. Adhere to all regulatory and organizational documentation standards. Patient & Family Education Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, procedures, medications, and discharge instructions. Assess patient understanding and reinforce teaching as needed. Promote active participation of patients and families in the care process. Professional Practice Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and adherence to nursing standards of practice. Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for professional development and clinical growth. Patient Satisfaction & Communication Foster a patient-centered environment through respectful, compassionate, and professional interactions. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, patients, and families. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Safety & Compliance Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and organizational safety standards. Utilize two patient identifiers and follow Universal Protocol guidelines. Demonstrate proper body mechanics and safe patient handling techniques. Ensure compliance with infection prevention and workplace safety protocols. Required Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) License. Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Cardiac nursing experience. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification. Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (required for pediatric emergency care). Preferred Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Previous travel nursing experience preferred. Experience working in a high-volume Emergency Department. Physical Requirements Must meet all Occupational Safety and Employee Health requirements. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to safely assist with patient transfers and emergency response activities. Why Join Us?
